In 2023, our book club selections continue to center around the work of Black women writers. We're reading everything -- from self-help to memoirs to poetry this season. We're kicking January off with Yasmine Cheyenne's debut The Sugar Jar.
Combining stories, exercises, and prompts, The Sugar Jar lets you see just how much energy you have and how much is being used by others. It helps you identify what depletes you, what restores you, and how to recognize destructive patterns.
In 2023, I have no intention of playing small and Yasmine's boundary-setting guide is a lifeline! I am learning to love myself in a way that I didn't know could exist -- with more patience & tenderness. Author Yasmine Cheyenne will join our book club session on Jan. 29th. RSVP here!
