February Book Club: Black Women Writers at Work
“We Black women writers know very clearly that our survival depends on trust.”
The iconic Black Women Writers at Work is our February book club selection! I’m excited to discuss this with folks over the next few weeks. The entire book is a masterclass in craft, creativity, and utter boldness. I also LIVE for the literary “gossip” and unexpected astrology readings from Margaret Walker. WE CONTAIN MULTITUDES. Our book club discussion will be held on February 26th at 3:00 PM EST - poet Diamond Sharp will be our co-host! Make sure to buy your copy of the book via Bookshop or Haymarket!
“Black women writers and critics are acting on the old adage that one must speak for oneself if one wishes to be heard.” —Claudia Tate
